Japanese Traditional

I work with a limited number of clients and accept projects that align with my style and artistic direction. Before reaching out, I recommend carefully reviewing my portfolio to gain a clear understanding of my work. I do not adapt my style to trends; I work within an authorial approach that I fully stand behind.

I ask clients to provide general guidance regarding subject matter and overall atmosphere. All compositional and aesthetic decisions are made by me, ensuring that the final result is balanced, cohesive, and works naturally with the body over time. Trust in the process is essential for achieving the best possible result. The entire process is divided into two phases: communication and tattooing.

Design & Preparation

For Japanese traditional work, the process differs from realism for example. There is no fully finished design or stencil prepared in advance. My working method is based on adapting the tattoo directly to the body. On the day of the appointment, I apply only the main outlines of the primary motifs, while the majority of the composition, background, transitions, and flow is drawn freehand directly on the skin. This approach allows the tattoo to follow the body’s anatomy precisely, ensuring correct proportions, movement, and visual balance. Whenever possible, all elements are drawn freehand on the client to achieve the best possible fit and harmony with the body. Because of this, the drawing process is an integral part of the tattoo session itself.

Tattooing

For Japanese traditional work, the price of a full-day session is €800 + VAT. This daily rate includes all drawing, freehand work, preparation, and tattooing related to the session. There is no separate design fee for this style. For a smaller piece the price is adjusted accordingly.

Tattooing is charged after each completed session. Sessions can be scheduled according to the client’s preferences and availability, with recommended breaks to allow proper healing and continuity of the work. For a Japanese traditional sleeve, a realistic estimate is around 6 full-day sessions, depending on the complexity of the motifs, background work, and the skin’s response.

Right to End Collaboration

Both the client and I reserve the right to end the collaboration at any time if the process or communication is no longer working for either side. In such cases, all work completed up to that point must be paid in full.
